When your child is about 14-18 months or steady on their
feet they progress into the toddler
room. Each child is prepared for the ‘move’ by a series of short visits to the toddler before the actual move takes place. This makes the transition easier for the child.
Enjoyment, needless to say, is a key aspect of each child’s day. Children at this age are eager to learn, but can get distracted very easily. Therefore, our ‘work’ periods are short and varied.
The routine in the toddler room is a little more structured and focuses on the child’s need for consistency and familiarity. Activities such as jigsaws, lego bricks, animals, arts & crafts, cooking, and music and movement promote motor skills and confidence within the child.
Small circle times and monthly themes are a feature of this room. Our toddler room team have
fun with songs, stories, new vocabulary and chat about the themes of the month.
